2011 Historic Irvington Community Council Elections
Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2011 HICC Board of Directors. Any Irvington resident, property owner or business owners/managers of Irvington businesses age 18 or over may nominate up to five individuals from their district (including themselves)s.
Nominations must be made orally at the April 19th HICC meeting at 7pm in the basement of the Irvington Presbyterian Church.
If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for the 2011 Board, please be at this meeting and make your nominations known before the current board. If you cannot attend this meeting but would like to be considered as a nominee, please send someone to nominate you. If no one can attend, please contact us here, so that we may read your nomination aloud before the current council. Please leave us your name, how long you’ve lived in Irvington, how long on the Council (if any) and the biggest concern you think Irvington currently faces.
Nominations are made now, with the elections taking place in May. The results of the elections will be made before or at the May 17th HICC meeting. New Board members will then take their place at the June, 21, 2011 HICC meeting.
Board members will be limited to no more than 20 Directors (5 from each of the four districts), and will serve a 2 year term from June 2011 – May 2013.
Information about the nominations, elections and results will soon be posted on the HICC website, our Facebook Fan Page and in future e-newsletters.
