Irvington Halloween Festival
For over 60 years, the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival has brought together thousands of residents, dozens of neighborhood organizations, and countless Eastside businesses in a fun-filled celebration of our heritage and community.
The Irvington Halloween Festival has become an integral part of Irvington’s history.
The festival and its associated events are designed to bring awareness to the community, to bring commerce to local business and sponsors, and to provide fun for the children of Irvington and Indianapolis. The celebration now encompasses nearly a month’s worth of events including a 5 mile run, a pageant, musicians, contests, Halloween-themed movies, storytelling, ghost tours, live theater, roller derby, a haunted puppet show and dozens of other events.
The event is coordinated by a small group of volunteers who graciously donate their time to ensure each event is a memorable one. If you would like to help participate in the planning of the Halloween Festival, E-mail us at email@example.com.

Irvington Winter Luminaria
Established in 1976, the Irvington Luminaria has been a delightful event that depicts the beauty and humble atmosphere of both Irvington and the holiday season.
On the Sunday before Christmas, the Luminaria is brought to life by hundreds of Irvington residents displaying thousands of candles in the early hours of night.
Drawing on the amenities of Ellenberger Park and the bustling Washington Street corridor, the daylong festival focuses on the neighborhood’s history and vitality, as well as celebrates the community’s cultural offerings and presence as a leader in innovative neighborhood economic development projects.
Celebrate Irvington builds on Irvington’s already well-known events, including the annual Halloween Festival, the Benton House Home Tour, and the summer Farmer’s Market. Celebrate Irvington gives neighborhood residents, and visitors, the opportunity to enjoy the community’s genteel charm.
